Single Strand Star Knot

The single strand star knot can be used to make anything from a 5 point zipper pull

to a multi-pointed star I made to frame small photograph.

From the photo it looks as if the small star is crafted out of flat lacing, have you thought about using glow in the dark lacing or paracord?

I could envision many uses for glow in the dark pulls for outdoor adventure gear.

Rustee, The small star is made from ungutted 550 paracord. I have not yet tried glow in the dark lacing

Here is the tutorial as it appeared in the now defunct KHWW website. It is taken from the "Harrison Book of Knots". I corrected one misleading drawing and show how to finish the knot. I had to convert a pdf document to jpeg. Please excuse the split images.

It is a great knot with many applicatons. It first appeared in the now defunct Knot Heads World Wide (KHWW) website. When that site disappeared I rewrote the tutorial. The first post in this thread has a linkto that tutorial.
