Badger maybe? I stand to be corrected!
It sort of has that form, but look at the size. It's tiny.
Well you don't get much badger for 20p nowadays
It certainly looks mustilidae-ish but doesn't resemble either a stoat or weasel track but the fact that there are several prints in one may be disguising a simple rodent of some kind.
You're mean. The sharpaholic in me forced me to click this thread. Only to see a question that actually has some usefulness.
Maybe it's a badger cub. Like with spring and stuff.
When I was a nipper you could go out with a lass, get a badger and a ferret and still have change for a weasel on the way home out of 20p.
Where did the "Shiny Knives" title come from anyway?
A title like that is the only way to get people to click and take a look. It's like the catchwords folk use on eBay and YouTube. Incredibly, 'bushcraft' is all about commercialism and material things rather than the connection (and understanding) we should seek to repair with nature. I'm not even a hippy or a Wiccan and I know this.
Size looks right for Stoat?
C.
Not sure I totally agree with that but its no big deal. Numbers of people clicking don't always equate to people who know the correct answer, and those people who put random keywords into Ebay irritate the crap out of me.
Anyway as there's no real story to where the tracks were found which might give a clue I'm throwing Mink into the mix.
Mind, I can't find my tracks and signs book so it could be a Long tailed, long nosed, spiny backed African water whippet as well.
