Hello just a quick question if you dont mind. I I have been sharpening my mora 511 with my dc4 and a leather strop and have been keeping it very sharp no problems with that. But i have over time built up a whole mess of thousands of srcatches on the part of the blade where it bevels. I would like to return it to a mirror finish would i need something very fine like a 6000 grit waterstone? Im not sure what grit the dc4 is equivilent to or whether its just me sharpening it wrong

Superfine wet and dry with washing up liquid and make sure whatever you have under the paper is perfectly smooth,
I use an old glass door off a cabinet. The washing up liquid helps remove an particals that may scratch further and helps polish. By superfine i mean anything above 2000. We use it for flatting paint on cars before the final polish.
