I'm looking for some tips on sharpening a my fallkniven f1. I've always struggled sharpening the convex blade and I want to get it back to a really good edge.

Sharpening convex is pretty straight forward. Lay it flat on the stone/wet and dry., sweep backwards (edge trailing) steadily bringing the knife up. You don't want to bring it too high, or you'll put a very steep edge on it. If you put into YouTube "how to sharpen falkkniven f1 " I'm sure you'll find a demo :)

Hope this helped!

Paint the bevel with black felt marker so you can see in an instant what's happening.
Tape down the ends of a strip of box card material on a smooth, flat surface.
With pull strokes only, do some imaginary sharpening.
The black wears off the worked surface.
Beats guessing.
