SealSkinz Trekking Sock ...Has anyone got any ?

I know they will be great in the winter but will they be too hot in the spring/summer/autumn ?

Has anyone got any and if so where have you used them and how do the preform ?

Your assumption is right, they'll be good in winter but I find mine to be too hot for summer use unless I know that I'll be walking around very boggy areas.

The ad mentions "merino" but not if the sock is waterproof - which Sealskinz normally do - is this a new product from them?

Yeah the "merino" mention is what makes me ask about these perticular ones...I have the "normal" sealskinz socks and as you say they are great for wet and cold...I was hopeing that they had made some that combined both merino and the usual sealskinz waterproof layer.
If they have then these will be amazing all year round socks but i don`t realy see how they can ?

they look very similar.

They are good for winter, but you would sweat like a hog in spring, summer and autumn. I use merino only socks for rest of year.

They are merino lined and have the porell outer like all sealskinz. They do breath but not like a merino sock does. HTH

Yes they do look very similar and the answer is as i expected thanks. I guess i'll just buy "normal" hiking socks then

Sealskinz do a lighter sock for warm weather trekking, they're Coolmax rather than merino ....

Look good. What are they like in the warm ??
