Scraps of leather

Hi all

I use scraps of leather for protecting blades, see pic below.

Can anyone suggest where I can get, cheap, a few scraps about 10 inches long about 12mm wide?

I dont know how it is in Britain there, but here I can literally buy a kilogram of scrap vegtan leather for 5 euros
Perhaps Le prevo has such a bin too? or other leather merchants might be worth throwing out some phone calls

Doesn't it drive you mad wrapping them up like that? I have loads of scraps in the workshop I'll send you some.

I have cut the fingers and thumbs off leather gardening gloves and leave a tab on them to attach some cord for wrapping around the item I am protecting. A thumb from a large glove will fit a frosts spoon knife perfectly.
