Was wondering if anyone has thought about another Scottish New Year meet at Comrie Croft again...the last was great! I know it's a while off yet but if it's goint to happen it might mean booking, or at least letting them know we're thinking of something again. I did mention it to George up there on Friday and said I'd get the word out on here to see what interest there was.

I suppose there are other venues but thought the facilities were excellent there especially if staying for 4 days as last time.

Look forward to you thoughts....

Not likely lad  I'm having a chilled out New Year this time and hopefully you won't spend it flat on your back stoned on the good drugs in hospital :D

Seriously, yes I'm interested again. How about booking the Hall though ? Would they let us do that so there was a place to socialise in the dry if it does chuck it down ? Someone said it hit -7C last year, and we all had ice formed inside the tents and tarps because it was so wet too.:D

Stuart F suggested a skills sharing weekend, and we'd thought about Comriecroft, a dry place to share books and tools and sit up late working if we wanted ?
Do we want to try to combine the two ?

cheers,
M

A combined event sounds a great idea Toddy...I'll call Andrew tomorrow at the Croft to see about the possibility of having access to the hall and what the cost might be if any.

I spoke to Andrew about the room...it's all booked up for a wedding over New Year :-( and there's nothing else available. So it means we'll be outside like last time. He was also saying he'd like it a bit more organised when it came to the booking as last time he didn't really know who was all there as part of the group.
