Nor when I went. Later in High school we did have some interesting field trips in Ag class; but nothing like that.

This is interesting and rather surprising. They're actually letting children use what could be considered quite dangerous tools, and this is a school project? You wouldn't get that here... Certainly not these days.

They seem like very polite kids, too. Great video.

Edit: Oh I see, they're part of a homesteading community. Very good.

You should hear him go on about "Safety Sallys" Bam - you know - those awful hand wringing H&S types that think children should never touch tools :rolleyes:

His kid is polite and capable, can use power and hand tools - and is just a tacker! Of course the "Safety Sallys" have a fit when they see the polite, skilled, capable, well adjusted child with an axe, saw, gun or driving a tractor!
