So, a quick trip to Italy, sadly our workaway ( a host we stayed with in January and got on really well with ) did not go well, so baled out go a hotel in the local city prior to a new workaway tomorro.
Savone is a new one for us, yet is the capital of a large region.
it has a fine cathedral with a Sistine chapel ( there are many, it just means built by Pope Sixtus IV ) and a superb choir with some fine old Papal apartments. And a good beach.

Never been to Savona, but Gran Paradiso up north is absolutely amazing when it comes to nature experiences. On a single hike I saw Ibex (x5), deer, a viper (almost stepped on it), and a pack of wild boars (one of them the largest I've ever seen). Down south past Genoa lies the Cinque Terre, which is also quite beautiful.

I'd be very interested in your take on Savona's nature. I'm planning on making my way up and down the west coast of Italy this coming year, and would love any tips.
