Russian vine?

my Parents in law have alot of Russian vine planted as decoration, it's just it grew too much so it's getting cut down and burned!!

does anyone know of a bushcrafty use for it?

sorry i don't know it's true name, but it looks simular to clematis.

Its a polygonum.
make sure you get the roots or it will be back next year.The woodier bits make reasonable withies.
