Just wondering if anyone else has taken part in this years survey?
My children and I have just done this, we counted fewer species and fewer individual birds than in previous years, but it is blowing a gale and there was a kestrel hanging around; so the conditions were hardly ideal !
We counted:
1 kestrel
6 chaffinch
4 greenfinch
2 dunnock
1 blue tit.

Cheers,
Doug.

This is my third Birdwatch and although fortunate to have a variety of feathered visitors to my small garden, come Birdwatch weekend the regulars do have a perverse habit of going into hiding..... :sigh:

Still, this year was better than last so here's the tally from a tiny spot in Surrey:-

Blackbird 1
Blue Tit 3
Collared Dove 1
Crow 3
Dunnock 2
Goldfinch 6
Magpie 4
Robin 1
Woodpigeon 3

(and 5 common gulls that flew over)
