Rough Rider Carbon Steel

I just popped on to order some paracord, I had no idea Rough Rider were venturing into carbon steel knives, has anyone else been tempted?
I had always been meaning to get a Canoe model at some point, so now I just need to carry it for a while and see how it holds up.

I haven't had it long enough to tell you very much yet, but I can tell you that it feels surprisingly heavy and solid. The fit and finish is good. The blades were very sharp from the box and I think it looks rather classy. It's a rather nice knife for the money.

They are the Colt' knives rebranded once the licence to use the name ran out. Quite good from the accounts I've read.

If they stopped coating them I'd give one go

How easy are the blades to open ?

The large blade is very easy, the smaller blade a bit harder, the nail nick is a little far back for my badly bitten nail to leaver but if I open the large blade first I can "pinch" the smaller blade open... or I could just stop biting my nails

I had a couple of old folders with Carbon steel. High maintenance, if they get wet and rust they are a pain to open.

Keep it well oiled!

Must be worth a bash at £15. No details of blade length over at HH though but I assume its under 3" for the main blade?

64mm from bolster to blade tip. The cutting edge is about 57mm HTH
