I had a Roselli UHC-bladed knife a while back and yes, they are exceptionally hard but not brittle. The obvious kickback from that is that it takes a lot of effort to get a good edge on them and, if you lose that sharpness, you face the same, uphill struggle to get it back. Personally, I find life with the 'normal' range of steels - 01, 52100, RWL34, S30V and so on - a good deal easier, both at home and in the field.
