Npot the greatest shots in the world since the light was failing, but we had a great "camera stalk" with the local Roes today. Amusing to see a cock pheasant head in the grass in one photo and a fieldfare flying up from the grass when disturbed in another.

All good fun getting close ;)

Snow? It's 12 degrees outside!! I didn't even need my coat this morning. Although a week ago we had to shovel six inches of snow out of the driveway...

Good pictures, Red. How big are the deer? They look a bit smaller than our Whitetails, but it's hard to tell the scale. I had a close encounter with a wild turkey (not the bourbon) on my way home for Christmas, but decided that a free turkey was not worth the cost of a new bumper for my car.

Good pictures, Red. How big are the deer? They look a bit smaller than our Whitetails, but it's hard to tell the scale.

Roe are quite small pe - about 3' at the shoulder maybe 4' or a bit mall tall overalll. A nice deer though - prolific round here and a "good eating" deer - not too much meat to process at one time. The fallows maver shows are a bit bigger and reds bigger still
