A true gent, a true hero, he made me feel like the world was put right.
Acts off kindness beyond belief.
lest we forget.

Condolences indeed to his family.

He left this world at the age of 100 , a very good innings I think , and achieved much in his life to be proud of - obviously raising such an amazing amount of money to be used for so much good which he ultimately succumbed to.

I know we use words such as 'sadness' when it comes to the passing of one soul - but I think when they have led a very long , rich , charitable and heroic life then maybe its not sadness that we should immediately run to as an emotion but admiration in a long life well lived.

Rest easy Sir - Your time has been well served.

The biggest legacy of his comes from the people he's inspired. Like that young autistic lad with a condition where he struggles to walk with a frame who has done walkingchallenges and earnt over £100,000 for charity after seeing Captain Sir Tom. He won a SPOTY prize and got to meet sir tom as well.
