My only comments would be that:

I like your emphasis on seeking permission, but I would personally love to see an ethos of "returning the favour", be that some litter picking, or some chores like cutting back overgrowth around footpaths when requested. I think that goes a long way to showing us in a positive light.

I personally do a lot more trapping than just snaring, I suspect that I am unusual in that regard but I think there are better traps to learn on than snares.
