I've always noticed that a few of the images on the frontpage of the BushcraftUK aren't resampled. Two things make me notice this..
1. The large images that are scaled down (but not resampled) look different, pixelated and somewhat jaged edges. I think the images would look better resampled how they're supposed to be.
2. If the images are not resample, user's browsers have to download the full size image, for example one image currently on the frontpage is 628KB, when resampled it could be a mere 20 - 30kb.
Currently (with images not resampled properly) the frontpage is 1,147KB / 1.12MB.
That will take way too long for some poor dialup users. Even for broadband users the frontpage is a very large webpage and if the page isnt already saved in your web-browser cache it will take long to load.
