can anybody tell me when is the best time to look for razor clams? im waaaay up in the shetland islands, so if anyone has any information it would be appriciated.
...and how do you get the sand out of them before cooking?
Pour very salty water on their hole (fnar) then grab em quickly when they peep out?
I meant, how do you egt the sand out from inside the shells not the shells out of the sand. I was eating a different kind of clam last night and some of those were a bit gritty.
