There are loads of threads on Ray Mears’ programmes and books and this
is an attempt to shepherd them together into one place. I think there’ll be a
fair bit of editing on this post as I’m bound to miss something! Also it’s a bit
long, so might need tweaking.

Several series have been shown on British terrestrial TV and are repeated
on Sky / NTL / Telewest channels and occasionally on Freeview (UKTV
History – channel 12).

Programmes already made
Country Tracks / Wild Tracks / Tracks / Ray Mears’ Country Tracks
(Episode listings: from Bob, Tracks series details from Fred)
World of Survival
Extreme Survival – available on DVD
Real Heroes of Telemark
Bushcraft Survival – available on DVD
(Tracklisting for World of Survival, Extreme Survival ad Bushcraft Survival
available in this post from Sandbender)

Downloadable clips from Woodlore http://www.raymears.com/
Hover over 'Downloads' then click on 'Bushcraft Survival Video 1 clips'
to see clips from Aboriginal Britain, Africa Safari and Jungle Camp.

Interview with Libby Purves on Midweek (Wednesday, Radio 4)
The listen again function is available only for a few days so it may
not work, but this is the link:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/progs/listenagain.shtml - choose "Midweek"
from the list. Thanks to Klenchblaize for highlighting it, in this thread.

Wild Food (which is NEW and will be showing on BBC2 on Thursday 4th
at 8pm - more details below).

Some clips and other stuff at the BBC's "Wild Food" page:

Also there have been a couple of one-off programmes (“The Big Read” about
Lord of the Rings and “Trips that money can’t buy” with Ewan McGregor in
Honduras) and another series “The Essential Guide to Rocks”.

Example of an address to write to
I'm reluctant to post people's names (I think Dear Sir / Madam suffices)
but there are plenty of examples of names on the forum (they may no
longer be working at the BBC though).

within this thread in Bushcraft chatter: http://www.bushcraftuk.com/community/showthread.php?t=16705

New stuff
Threads on Wild Food, the new series with Gordon Hillman and accompanying

you could add 'saturday morning cooks' from this morning, the Mears-meister trying his hand at the celebrity cooking lark. 'was sort of hoping he'd bring some ingredients and knock out a bit of interesting wild grub, but no (didnt give him the chance), just banana pudding instead made by the presenter. shame they missed the oppotunity to do something more adventurous...

Thanks - I could but then I'd probably have to add all appearances
and I'm too lazy :)

Might add the Today programme link though, as I think it's still available to
listen again (from a few months ago).

Anyway, I hope the BBC eventually release older material on DVD... and
I hope this thread helps people to find all the information they'd need to
send polite and cheerful letters to the BBC suggesting same. :D

That's excellent - actually I think it deserves a thread to itself as plenty
of people won't look at this and spot it (as this thread is just a metalist
of other threads really).

Thanks for posting it :)
