You probably already know about this (although I didn't find any threads) but you can watch episodes of Ray Mears Extreme Survival on the NTL Video on Demand service. Unbeknownst to me they have radically updated service so you can actually watch programmes and films 'on demand' and not at a specified time. You can also pause, fast forward and rewind the programmes as well!
There is a 'Free' section on the menu that has loads of BBC programmes available, among them Mr Mears... Currently you can get episode 1 (the Vietnam one) or you can pay a quid and get episodes 1 to 3 for a week.... (the free stuff is only available for one day)
Might be of some use, I will be watching!!! Dunno if this service is available in all areas though.
