Raw Neats foot oil

On Accrington outdoor market today I discovered for sale , a quid for about a third of a litre pop bottle full (not quite a pint anyway) of unrefined neats foot oil. Since I like dabbling in old receipts for various potions and lotions I got a bottle.

The guy sells just tripe, black pudding and rather nice penny (savoury) duck and is in one of the small open fronted shops that face the bus station.

How the hang is he getting that so cheaply ?
It's kind of essential oil of bone, sort of.

By the recyled pop bottles and hand scribbled labels I think he is boiling up the shin bones himself!. By the smell it seams the right stuff.

If I can think of a cheep, secure method of repakaging it I'd offer to post it to folks at cost. I don't think the pop bottles are up to Pat trying to force it through your letterbox.

Just going to decant it into a old stone vinegar bottle thereby justifying me bringing yet more home...
