Question re. dyeing a British Army Desert Basha

Can the British Army dersert basha be dyed, and has anybody tried it?

Untreated nylon can be dyed with varying degrees of success but I suspect these bashas will have various coatings which make the takeup of dye unlikely. I'm happy to be corrected but I don't rate your chances.

Re-Desert Basha. Why not cover the basha when outdoors with green military hessian/
leafy netting (cut to size) if the pattern is unsuitable or I am aware that you can purchase online
military spec 400ml cans of spray paint & give the basha a light coating of Green, Brown,
Black all three for a woodland effect? Shame to waste a good basha, my 2p worth.
