Ok I need to pick some brains from folks who've spent time over here or live here currently. I'm thinking about doing a kind of point to point trek around and across the sperrins in maybe 2-3 months, Probably looking at 2 days and a night maybe 3 days and a night. I'm just wondering what the peaks and valleys are like up there for conditions and changability? I used to live down in Dorset and on occasion took the odd trip to both exmoor and dartmoor and am fully away how fast things change there, but are the sperrins like that also?
Additionally, I know most of the peaks are neither very high nor hugely steep, so I'm not going to be needing crampons and such, but any advice of equipment that would be a good idea?
