Not been on here in ages.
I'm looking for maker recommendations or thoughts from makers on getting some thick leather straps made up.
They are to replace the arm straps on some old camp / safari chairs. There's no decoration, so what's important is quality of materials, finish, precise sizing - and of course price. Looking to have them done before mid-June.
I think the original leather is 3mm bridle leather, and straps are about 85cm long when riveted over, and about 93cm before folding over. I have the original strap in pictures which I could send to the maker if need be.
Probably a quite straight forward job for a leather maker who knows what they are doing.
