I have put some scales on my Fieldcrafter knife blank.
Its the first time I've had a go at putting scales on a blank the scales are made of Yew.

Lovely piece of Yew with that colouring! I'm not sure about others but I find oil is oil. Meaning that I have used Ballistol, linseed, Danish, Tung, Bacon, Camellia and Olive oils among others and all do a similar job.
I like to thin the first couple of coats of oil to get better wood penetration.
