Purple fungi?

Please does anyone know what this might be?

The picture doesn't show them too clearly, but they were a really cool purple colour. After looking on www.rogersmushrooms.com my guess is Laccaria amethystea. Is anyone able to tell me if I guessed correctly?

Yep - that's amythest deceiver. Quite edible (Subject to my usual fungi disclaimer)

These are one of my favourites, I always collect loads of these and dry them in my dehydrator to put into gravies and sauces. They add a great colour!
