Good report, thanks! I'd be tempted to use a beer can instead as less risk of it cracking but if a bottle is all you have then nice to see it can be used

I've seen first hand water boiled in a re-sealable freezer bag. Just put it onto the embers and the water keeps the plastic cool enough not to melt. I couldn't believe it until I saw it, in fact it was Smarty on here that showed me at the first Cornwal RV that he started.

Get a paper plate,news paper, origami bowl a cardboard basket whatever and cover with fat or oil, totally saturated it until it becomes almost translucent ,chuck on an egg and cook slowly over a low flame. The fat works as a thermal conductor and transfers the heat strait through the paper to the egg.
Ps Don’t hang around too long,Like I wouldn’t recommend chips..
