Pumice stone

I was just wondering if old bits of Pumice is any good for other uses than next to the bath for my feet.

Pumice is great (and traditional) for cleaning and abrading suede or buckskin. It's also good on a leather strop that has been doped with too much stropping compound and has become shiny. Some talc and a good rub with the pumice will bring it back to life.

Whenever I go to teneriffe / lanzagrotty etc I always try to get some pretty big pieces to take home.. Cracking stuff, especially for getting grubby items clean. The natural stuff is so much kinder than the commercial bought stuff!
