Prosthetic limb sock

My dad in laws had his leg off and suffers with cold in his stumpy bit, what do reckon is the best way of keeping it warm, wool, silk or wot do you think.

Hi Gray,
Ask him to go to his nearest limb center [ALAC], they have limb socks in different materials and sizes, he needs to have the correct size or it may restrict the circulation...they should sort him out with a few for free

Hey,

My mate says he uses a cut up fleece jumper for both his stumps ( One above the knee, one below). He prefers it to wool as it doesnt make him itch and the size is a pretty good match already.

Yeah very true,

His mum made him some out of old jumpers and they weren't merino.
