Hi ive noticed that there is interest for a meet group in Cornwall/devon

Im moving to cornwall in feb the company ill be working for has several woodland, now i already have permission for myself ( die to them owner having a site near me

However i may be able to negotiate permission for a regular meet at one of theor other sotes
Chance's are it will be north of Plymouth on the counnty border

There will be all the usual ground rules
With a few additions, no Edl, bnp, britain first or any those j**k offs
Simply because they are a headache and create too much hassle

Any interest

I am seldom down that end of the country, so this is just to say this is a wonderful addition to the usual ground rules.

Explain
I added that provision because a pal of mine ran a bushcraft camp just north of coventry, he ran the Fb group, nothing whatsoever to do with BC UK ( i did the site management and maintenance) 2 brothers requested to join so we let them (provisionally). 1 turned up a couple times and p***ed everyone of being a dick ( kept asking the ex-forces guys probing questions about explosives, device design etc ) through a bit of digging we discovered they were both britain first fanatics god only knows what they were upto
Banned and Reported both to the cops
They created a mess and ruined a perfectly good meet
So i won't tolerate em

Not sure what there is to explain on my part? I was saying your additional rule was a good thing.

If you're querying what I mean by 'I am seldom down that end of the country', I mean that I am seldom down in Devon/Cornwall.

Yeh you said the additional rule was a good thing
And at bottom added a "laugh emoji"
For a moment i thought you were trying to be funny or sumsh*t

I dunno ??

Wandering1 - I genuinely mean this in a positive way and I think the way you're trying to get people to meet and have an RV is great.. but...

By the way you're coming across , the language you're using ( not exactly blue - I can definitely swear with the best ) isn't making me and I suspect others somewhat eager at the prospect.

Now I'm sure you're a very nice bloke , as you've offered to host an RV on your permission that tends to indicate that. But you may want to think about how you're coming across / over.

Just some feedback. Best wishes and seasons greetings.

Bloomin hell right , i just noticed, its a laugh reaction
I thought hugh was being a smart bottom ( ive dealt with quite i few so im a bit of a cantankerous git

Apologize hugh
No need to apologise, though I don't see how if I had put a laughing emoji it would make me what you describe.

Sensitivity needs to be low on forums otherwise you'll have a terrible time thinking everyone's out to try and get you, when in reality it's just that you've interpreted what's been written in one of the many ways it could be.

Hope your meet-up plans work out in the SW, it's always great when someone is generous enough to allow access to land they can use to relative strangers.

How accessable is the site by public transport? I don't have a car, so bus or train is my only option. I can get to Plymouth.
Where abouts is the site? Nearest village or town. You say north of Plymouth on the cornish, Devon border. That could be anywhere! Also, I can't get home by public transport on Sundays as where I live there is no sunday bus service. Makes life awkward for weekends away unless I can persuade a friend to pick me up from a bus station 20 miles away on a Sunday afternoon.

Well i dont know, cos im currently just outside birmingham, and as yet i haven't seen the sites In person
Its just a possibility im negotiating with my employers to use their other sites, (they own a number of Agricultural-Farms across cornwall devon and somerset)
I know one is just outside Hayle, another couple mile south of Truro
One is across the bay (4 miles west) of plymouth the other is about 40 miles north of plymouth

As for PT i have no idea, i have the same issue relying on PT
Im a bit skeptical about giving out the exact locations until everythings agreed with the company

Keeping the venue to yourself is a sound move until things are firmed up.
Then message people intending to go privately

Regarding lifts and car shares that sort of thing can get ironed out closer to the time.

Good for you for offering this up.

OK, I understand, keep me in mind, and if someone is willing to car share even part of the journey, I'm happy to pay towards petrol.
Good luck getting it sorted, there doesn't seem to be much down in the sw anymore, especially since wilderness gathering moved to Kent.:( :(
So you could get a good turnout.

Yes well ive seen what happens when locations are offered up publicly, people turn up outside meet days, other people who Dont have permission turn up, location becomes public knowledge, gets used by junkies and all sorts, sote gets trashed and i enivetably look a c*** and loose my permissions

So yeah keeping to meself for the time being

I Agree with all of that.
But , and I respect you're a grown adult, for the purposes of the forum you may want to change the words you are using and not swear.
Its definitely giving off a passive/aggressive vibe and although the actual swear words are automatically blocked out one doesn't need to be Suzie Dent to work out what they are.

Just feedback!

Good point, i just tend to write the way i talk. Never really thought about it
Oddly enough i used to be really polite/patient when dealing people in general never used to cuss but over the years as ive dealt with more and more people who have behaved like complete morons ( In day to day life ) and as ive gotten older ive lost my patience and now i just cant be bothered being polite,

Still its a good point
