I wasn't certain whether to put this here or in Leaders Chatter. As it's more connected to making, I plumped for here  .

A while ago I found an old scouting publication called Spare Time Activities for Scouts and Others by "Gilcraft" and, having mentioned it to a few people at the recent Rough Close Meet, I thought I'd offer it up on the forum.

The rather strange title is taken from a line in the book :yikes: .

Hopefully someone will find it useful / interesting / inspiring.

Thanks for looking.

I keep intending to try the sheath design. The next blade doesn't exactly lend itself to the pattern ~ it's a Martindale 350L

OK - it is a hot day today ...so I made myself a pair of the sandals :)
I had to make a change to the lacing as I was just using thonging not rawhide as specified and I am currently "wet forming" them on my feet before a final trim to size - very easy and as comfortable as any flipflops.
When they are dry and trimmed I will be waxing them to make them tough and waterproof :)
A great little book that!
