Well actually this knife was only made by chance. I made the blade last summer and sent it out without a handle, as I was asked. But for some reason the parcel was never taken from the post by the guy and he never contacted me again neither, so it was returned to me. This postal stunt took 10 months in total, can you believe that? I know that South Africa is far far away, but this is ridiculous.
Anyway, I finished the knife myself, and here it is
It traveled the world even before it was really born. How cool is that?!
That is some journey! The edelweiss I recall has meaning for the Germanic peoples "purity" or the like am I right? is that the same for you?
Yeah, that's right, if you take it apart for two words, it means noble white.
Odd that you mention that but as soon as I read edelweiss, I pictured German mountain troops!
