Does anyone know their oysters? I've found a few on my local beach and I'm trying to identify it. One of my books says Portuguese oyster but google suggests they may just be Pacific Oysters and it is growing on a rock.
I've not picked any as there's not many about, although if the ID's right and they're an invasive species eating them may be the right thing to do. It's at least 8 inches long, by the way.
