I have recently got an unfinished blade via the gift it on thread. I wanted a way my grandson could help me prepare firewood so using the said Blade I quickly knocked up a froe to keep his hands away from the blade edge. Very rough and ready but does the job.

Oh yes, Can split kiln dried logs easy. I have a wooden post that I use as an "Anvil" for want of a better word, for battoning. It is just a bit too high for the grandson to rest the froe on the log and the post together so a MkII is needed ( post and/or froe)
