Hey guys, im new around here so

HELLO ALL

Im going to make pine needle tea and just wanted to pick the brains of anyone that knows there pine trees in the uk.

As far as i can read and understand theres two main species of pine tree in the uk, the scots pine and the corsican pine, i really cant find much more info on others.

as i said above i would like to try (and understand) pine needle tea, its a handy thing to know. the thing that worrys me is picking the needles from a tree i shouldnt.

am i right in saying that as long as i only take needles from trees with groups of needles in fascicles, normaly in 2's but upto 5 but no more as other tress like "larch" have crowns of needles like that, and as long as i only take needle that twist and arnt short and flat like hemlock.

is all that ringing true, is it really as easy as "if it has fascicles" then its a pine, or is that rubbish spoken by people that havnt got a clue and are giving them selves kidney damage.

THANKS ALL, AND GREAT TO BE HERE
