My brother uses one of those exped pillows, I had to laugh at him, but for what they are they look alright but I did think a bit thin? Could also be used as a seat I suppose. I couldn't get get around the thought that it was something extra he carried for a specific task.
I still use my clothing from the day stuffed in my sleeping bag dry sack; it deals with keeping them dry and to hand for the next day. Filled with some air as well, it's as hard or soft as you dictate. Comfy enough for me and has been for years now; I doubt I'll ever change he habit unless I change my system of sleeping or kit I suppose.
