A grand day out in some local woodland near me. Swmbo, Chiseller, mountainm and Reskinov had a good bimble, hot food and lots of hot drinks. Chiseller (and Chiseller Jr) had an over nighter from the previous day.
Had a play with the lifesaver water bottle (unbelievable how well it performs with dirty black, stagnant water from a shallow ditch)
A Hennessey hammock (I want one)
Bow drill from master of the dark arts Chiseller. And an NBC casualty bag, boy does this thing have potential, think jerven bag or enclosed issue hammock, no tarp needed.

The fire was laid to rest in the typical bushcraft way, but this time a marker was left and I paid my respects.

The fire Chiseller had going to greet us.

The fantastic spot the Chisellers had chosen was a area surrounded by ancient yews and holly. This place is worthy of a revisit.

It's a great piece of kit. Hopefully mine should be here tomorrow. Very impressed with the hammock mate.

The Chisellers stopped in it last night, got down to -3 they were toasty warm. Don't make em like that anymore.

Yes the place we stopped at was picturesque, you could get a real sense of the age of the place. Plenty of dead standing and fallen, a real gem.

Yorkshire eh! I think a couple of the gods were born here.
