Pickled ash keys

Just spotted a mass of ash keys in a local woods and remember seeing a recipie for them, any hints and suggestions?

Yeah, after going for a walk today and trying a couple with my teeth they are pretty tough so I am a fair bit late I think.

Nevermind, I did pick a mass of blackberrys and about 3 pounds of cherries so I am not that bothered
