It's coming to that time of year again where I have to start scratching my head to think up themes for next years Photograph competition.

I've got a few ideas in mind but this year I thought I'd throw it open to the member to suggest some themes they might like to see.

No prizes if I use them apart from acknowledgement for it if I do :)

So come on then is there any theme you'd like to see in next year competition?

Sparks
Footprints / Animal tracks
Ruins or Ruined
What's Cooking?
Close to the edge
Falling Water
Dark woods

Apologies if you've done some/all of these:

Subjects such as: 'Bushcraft portrait', 'Smoke', 'Fire', Weather ....
Concepts such as 'out of bounds', 'comfort', 'safe', 'danger', 'at the limit', 'many', 'few', 'large', 'small', 'lonely', 'crowded' ....

Man an tool ! , ok you at the back stop sniggering! be nice to see sharp stuff in use, animal tracks or burrow and nests, creepy woods , green man! faces in stone and forest.

Behind you !!

this would be a two photo set to make one entry......

the first photo is as normal, a stunning view, a piece of architecture, a babbling stream..........but what is behind the photographer ?..... turn around and take another snap of what ever is behind you......car park, shopping centre, public dump, bus stop etc........get the idea ?

the winner would be the two photos with the biggest difference.......for example, the valleys of Myther Tydville ( sorry for the spelling ) taken from the heights of the Asda car park and loading bay.

Biggest puzzle for me was to photograph the wind.
A slow shutter speed never looked good enough.
Next would be reflections of nature in any surface, even a window.

Robbi must have been with me in my old landscape décor B&W days.
4x5 view camera on a rail, dark cloth and all.
Get all set up for a scene and then turn around!
Often something better! How did you know?
