In the woods if possible.
having broken the handle on my parang last night I'm look for an new one.

Nothing fancy or expensive - its a working tool so and suggestions.

i'm looknig for something with a blade about 30cm.

I still have one of the FKMD Parang XL from the group buy I did last year, if that's of any interest. It's new and unused, I think it's 52 quid plus postage. They're on Heinnie's site. There have been three models of the XL to my knowledge, this is the second version, with an improved heat treat but the original thinner blade and without Alfredo's logo.

I'm sure its heresy to some, but doesn't Bear Grylls do a reasonably-priced parang/golok? I'm sure I read some very favourable reviews somewhere.

Let me see if I understand. You're just looking for a new handle; not a new knife? If so why don't you carve your own?
