Piece of a dead standing birch fell from the wind last night. took a chance something might be solid in the branch some was wet and pretty punky but think I might be lucky to get a few more pieces out of it these were more test pieces and worked well so far for the one. took maybe a couple hours at best from start to finish both bout the size of a bigger teaspoon

Really like the progress pictures, and a really nice looking spoon there, I always love it when they have some kind of a curve in them, i don't know why just looks a bit more natural I guess ^^.

But I'm more interested in that mini axe... what's the details on it?

It was custom made for me by a buddy off another site as part of a trade. neat little axe and she is sharp to. He also made me a custom ferr rod/comapss pendant to as part of the trade I'm doing a pair of spoons and a kuksa for him not these spoons either lol

It does just wish I had more of it to work with. Hoping to have the tree out front be taken down by the early spring get some kuksa wood from it :D

Thanks
