Pages switching to different parts of the screen

[Ogri the trog]

Hi All - I don't want to add to anyones issue list but I feel compelled to mention,

When I select a topic forum from the main forum list, The returned page is often shown at the bottom of the page rather than the top where any new threads/posts are listed. A similar thing sometimes happens when I select the latest reply by clicking on the thread title from the main page, sometimes it goes to the latest post and sometimes to the first post....

I know that work is continuing on last post issues but just in case this is related........

Had I not been such a computer clutz, I might be able to better describe the issue.

Thanx

Ogri, Yup, I mentioned this the other day and Tony responded saying that they were looking into it - something to do with the switch betwen servers ISTR.

[bikething]

yep, I've noticed that....

I've also noticed that the address bar in I.E. always shows http://www.bushcraftuk.com/index.php/Forums.html instead of the full address of : http://www.bushcraftuk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29191 with the bit on the end which makes it a pain to copy a link to PM / email to someone..

thought it was just something I'd done here

This has just started happening to me today.

And me

Me too. I thought it was something I had done.

This bug happened when we were working on the 'view last post' problem, ie it takes you to the last post that was made .... not the last page.... but something seems to have happened making alot of the pages head down to the last part of the page.

This should be cleared up when we have re-built BCUK on the new server ....
