Is the wood block wenge?hard to tell in the pictures and what are the dimensions...scandi block size?

I am not sure what type of wood it is, but it is hard wood, and good quality. The size is 6" x 2"x 0.9"
It looks like that it is treated professionally with oil for preservation.
It's from my stopped handling project.
