Oyster Mushroom ID Please...

I have just a basic book at the moment, could anyone kindly ID the species of oyster i came across the other day...

Its just for curiosity's sake really

Was growing on a dead birch about 10 feet up, so not the best piccy!

I had some the other week and the stems were very tough, would of been alright in a stew, but they were't that great freid with garlic. oh species ehhhhh pleutorus ostrreatus

Thanks for that just a standard oyster then.

I will have to invest in a decent book and get to learn the basics.

Tempted to chuck some in the DO now LoL, i wonder if they dry well.
