I've been paying £3 retail for a couple of years off the chap. He asked me to phone around and see if I could get them cheaper, if not he would let me have a batch at cost price for the freezer as I'm a good punter with him. Tesco sell Ox tail at about £1 per piece of tail and you really need three or four per person so another budget family meal has jumped up in price overnight.
For those who have not tried Ox tail, it makes just about the best tasting stew and gravy known.
