Overnighter in the Allgäu

The mother in law came for a visit this week which meant I was able to get away from my house husband duties for a quick over night Hike. I planned a route heading out of the mountain this time in to the flatter forests of the Allgäu .
Here are a few photos from my two day walk that I thought I would share.

Lake is frozen over , only about 1 cm thick at the moment tho

Beautiful...........................didn't look that cold until I saw the icicles hanging off the the water wheel flume(?)........
Those frying bangers look good enough to eat...............looks like some interesting hiking country there.

Normaly at this time of year every thing should be covered in snow, but its late coming. Still quite cold tho , The bangers were nice bavarian sausages . I still like the british ones best . Give me a good Lincolnshire anyday

I love the cold too , nice and tostie in my bivi
