Separating Denmark and Sweden Øresund, or The Sound as it is also known in English (Danish Øresund, or Swedish Öresund, and locally in both countries Sundet), is the strait that separates the Danish island Zealand from the southern Swedish province of Scania. Its width is just 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) at the narrowest point between Kronborg Castle at Helsingør in Denmark, and the northern harbour of Helsingborg in Scania, Sweden. The strait has also lent its name to the Øresund Region of 3.8 million inhabitants on both the Danish and Swedish sides.

So do you fancy a paddle and maybe a swim afterwards before cooking up some of the local catch on the beach?

Then before going you may want to read this!,

I think someone's pants are on fire. Fresh water Amazon fish in the sea off Denmark? Even a dumped pet wouldn't last long.

If the coastal water temperatures around Denmark are anything like ours, I think your testicles will be safely out of the way of any biting fish.
