Thanks for sharing. Scarborough also boosts Star Carr, an excavation of a neolithic site just out side of Seamer village. Sadly the landfill site now covers a similar site rich in neolithice finds. The Derwent Valley was thought to be rich in vegetation (Silver Birch and other primary plants / shrubs) and wildlife and may have supported a large population.

Similar aerial photgraphs also revealed a Bronze age village in the Wolds nr Driffield. The village was round and protected by a moat and an embankment.
