I know what you mean, I sold my BRKT Canadian in DI and mosaic pins, a grail knife, for the exact same reason. My two remaining luxuries are a Rasul and a PITS 3/4 tang fixed that Mike sold me for £60.

I’ll move on my ZDP189 Spydercos and my last old Oak knife then I’m basically done. It’s all Moras and cheap Brisas after that

I have to say i had told myself over and over that i didn't need it... but it's only no.3 posh knife. My daily work user is a hultafors. If I'm looking at it dusty in a year it will have to find a new home once again.

I think it was Deekin who started a post “The Cost”. My view is you’re paying not only for a good quality item that will serve you for many years if necessary, like say, a Hultafors or Mora, but also in this case for the experience of owning something that brings a great deal of pleasure. Whether it gathers dust and is neither here nor there, you will have taken that knife out of the cupboard and admired it many times before you decide to sell it on. To a new, enthralled, owner.
