If I'm travelling I use the extra strong zip bags that are meant for jewellery....not the thin skimpy things that are more usual.
Women use these strong bags in little files to store jewellery safely, and it stops silver tarnishing.

Like these....this is just an example, they're much cheaper to buy on Temu.
Lots of different sizes too.
They're really strong.

Make your own with a food vacuum sealer? and cut the blister packs down to size (round off the sharp corners).
I haven't tried resealing in the wild yet, I'm thinking a small corner cut to dispense a pill might be resealed with a match or lighter?
On international travel though, anything other than the official container is a no go at customs, and apparently can get you a fine in some places.
It’s a good way to take toilet roll, hankies etc! I have some in the van, packs down small!
